This painting was a gift for my friends Virginia and Ronen, who were married at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in NYC in November 2010. I sought to capture the playfulness and fun of the couple by highlighting the unique touches they brought to this elegant reception setting, such as the bubble tea bar and 10-piece band with lots of dancing! The bride is a native New Yorker, and I paid tribute to her home town by showing the empire state building peeking through a window in the background.
