This was my second time traveling to Baltimore to paint for the same family--I had captured the groom's sister's wedding a few months earlier at the Tremont Hotel.

At this event, the bride specifically requested that I capture the fountain in the sculpture garden outside of Gertrude's Restaurant at the Baltimore Museum of Art, dramatically lit up at night during this evening wedding reception. I sought to both capture the lively party taking place inside the two tents at dusk, and allude to the wedding ceremony, during which the bride walked across the fountain to meet her groom.

The bride and groom's family members are also featured in various areas of the painting, with the groom's mother, who commissioned the painting, in the blue dress in the foreground.

The painting was mostly done at the event and completed to give to the wedding guests at their hotel brunch the next morning.

I also had the pleasure of working for the first time with Boutique Events, who did a beautiful job planning this wedding!
